Inez Adeline KEENE was born on 6 September 1925 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.^20,28,41 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ She graduated in 1942 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^20,42 from Tomah High School Inez died on 27 February 2017 at the age of 91 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴¹

Obituary Notes: "Inez A. Boeder, 91, of Tomah, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Close to Home in Tomah.

She was born Sept 6, 1925, to Aloth and Martha (Damerow) Keene in the Town of Adrian. She was baptized Sept. 13, 1925, and confirmed April 2, 1939, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomah. She was a member of the Tomah High School class of 1932.

On April 3, 1945, Inez was united in marriage to Marvin H. Boeder in Tomah. He preceded her in death April 8, 1999. Inez and Marvin farmed in the town of Ridgeville for over 31 years and in the town of La Grange for seven years, before relocating to Tomah in 1983.

Inez never shied away from hard work and worked side by side with Marvin in the barn and out in the fields. In her spare time Inez could be found among her flower and vegetables gardens, which were the envy of many. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and an active member of the Martha Circle, serving as past president of the circle, an honorary member of the Big Mission Circle, a member of the local homemakers club and also volunteered her time assisting the class of 1932 reunions.

She is survived by her nieces, Janis (Bernard) Forschler of Tomah, Julie (David) Sulzle of Prior Lake, Minn., Lavonne (William) Spiers of Tomah, Mary Lou (Marty) Rost of Minnesota and Bonnie (Dale) Ludeking of Tomah; nephews, James (Vickie) of Reeseville, Dennis (Betty) of Wilton, Richard (JoAnn) of Hustler and Keith (Cheryl) Keene of Tomah; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; a brother, Lorenz Keene; sisters-in-law, Marion Keene, Mildred Cook and Adeline Boeder; brothers-in-law, Charles Cook and Norbert Boeder; and two nephews, Laverne Cook and Ronald Cook.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 2, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. The pastors of St. Paul’s church will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church."

Inez Adeline KEENE and Marvin Henry George BOEDER were married on 3 April 1945.^20,41 Marvin Henry George BOEDER, son of Otto Carl William BOEDER and Lisette BINDSCHAEDEL, was born on 18 April 1922 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.^20,28,29,43 Between 1946 and 1952 he was a farmer in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ Between 1953 and 1983 he was a farmer in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ Marvin died on 8 April 1999 at the age of 76 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^29,43 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴³ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
