Obituary Notes: ""Louise A. Brown, 88, of 701 1/2 Hollister Ave., died Monday, Aug. 31, 1992, in her home. She was born Dec. 7, 1903, in Tomah, to Louis and Minnie (Mau) Storkel.

From 1919 until 1944, she resided in La Crosse. She graduated from Wisconsin Business University in La Crosse. She was united in marriage to W. Henry Brown June 16, 1926, in the English Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Upon her father's death, she and Henry purchased the Tomah Greenhouse in 1944. She continued to operate the business until her retirement in 1969. She was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of Eastern Star Chapter 6, all of Tomah. Louise was a loving mother and grandmother and a dedicated bridge player.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 25, 1952, and by two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Buster) Sowle, and a son, William "Bill" Brown, both of Tomah; grandchildren Steve (Annette) Sowle, Brian (Deborah) Sowle, Mike (Tamra) Brown, Teresa Louise Brown and Tim Brown; and great-grandchildren Emily, Erica and Anna Sowl, Tina and Chris Brown.

Funeral services were today, Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, With the Rev. Robert Toso officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends called at the Ninneman-Steele Funeral Home Wednesday after 4 p.m., and at the church today from 10 a.m. until time of services." Louise was buried on 3 September 1992 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,20 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

William Henry BROWN Sr. was born on 27 October 1894 in Nelson Township, Buffalo County, WI.^2,13,20 He died on 25 January 1952 at the age of 57 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^4,13,16,20 He was buried on 28 January 1952 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
