Descendants of Phillip Storkel

Phillip Storkel and his wife, Johanna Graf, were born in Hesse Province in the early-1800’s. Their son Louis emigrated to America in 1883 and married Wilhelmine “Minnie” Mau in Tomah in 1884. Louis and Minnie had six children, who married into families such as Gramenz, Buschman, Hyland, Thompson and Brown.

All of the original Storkel families in Monroe County descend from Louis and Minnie.
