Their sister Anna was listed as the Head of Household, she was renting the home (probably from their father). Louis is described as "Single," although he had marred Deda Sweet four years earlier. He died on 4 April 1965 at the age of 67 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1,2,3 Obituary Notes: "Louis A. Storkel, aged 67, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis P. Storkel, of Tomah died April 4. He was born in Tomah June 11, 1897. Mr. Storkel graduated from the Tomah High school. He served as a Corporal in CO "K" 3rd Inf Wisconsin National Guard, on the Mexican border. During WWI, he served in three major engagements - the Aisne-Maine August 4th through the 6th, Oise-Aisne August 18th through September 9th and Meuse-Argonne from September 26th through November 16th. For a number of years, he was employed by the AT & T Company, retiring after 33 years of service. Mr Storkel was a charter member of the Grassman-Sowle Post 200 of the American Legion and proudly wore the 45-year pin. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Anna Louise, his parents, one sister, Lena Bushman, and two brothers, Herman and Otto (Adolph). He is survived by his wife, Ada, son Louis, Jr., (serving in the US Navy), tow sisters, Ann Hyland and Louise Brown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM, Thursday from the American Lutheran church with the Rev. Raymond Quade officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery." Louis Alvin "Louie" STORKEL II and Ada THOMPSON were married on 7 November 1930.3 Ada THOMPSON was born on 14 December 1903 in Duluth, St. Louis County, MN.13 She died on 6 November 1997 at the age of 93 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.13 She was buried on 10 November 1997 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.13 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
