(The 1910 Census lists his immigration year as 1896. Family information reports that he emigrated in 1904, but he was not listed on the passenger manifest when his mother, sister Anna, and brother John emigrated in October 1904.) He appeared in the census in 1910 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. His household was at 525 North Glover Street and his occupation was "Tailor."

He died on 20 February 1937 at the age of 55 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. (His wife was listed as a Widow in the 1940 Census.)

. Anna PISARCIK, daughter of Josef Anthony PISARCIK and Mary Cathine SISKOVIC, was born about 1882 in Francovia, Austro-Hungary. (The Serp family records list her surname as Kus, but the Lay research indicates that it was Pisarcik.) She emigrated in 1885 from Francovia, Austro-Hungary. She appeared in the census in 1920 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. Anna appeared in the census in 1940 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. She was a Widow and her household was at 2400 East Ashland Avenue. She died on 19 June 1957 at the age of 75 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. She was buried in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery on Bel Air Road.
