Descendants of Johann "John" Vieth

Johann Vieth and his wife, Louise Catherine Sophie Godeke, were born in the Westphalia Province of Prussia in about 1800. Their two known sons, Wilhelm and Conrath, emigrated to America in the 1860’s and settled in Sheldon Township.

The children of the two sons married into families such as Noth, Waltermann, Wartman, Nicolai, Nenzel, Zietlow, Knorst, Oldenburg, Haldeman, Foth and Baumbach.

(There also was also living in Ridgeville Township a Heinrich Wilhelm “Henry” Vieth who was born in 1821 in Westphalia and who married Friedrike “Ernestine” Noth. He may also have been a son of Johann and Ammalia, but that has not been confirmed. Henry's family is included in another report.)
