Descendants of Johann Ludwig Vinz

Johann Ludwig Vinz and his wife, Sophia Magdalena Roeder, were born in Saxony, Prussia in the early-1800’s.

Their son Christian emigrated to America in 1850 and eventually settled in Oakdale Township, where he married Fredricka Schroeder. Their children married into families such as Reeder (possibly Roeder), Barber, Evans, Kennedy and Larsen.

All of the original Vinz families in Monroe County descended from Johann and Sophia.
