Barent VROOMAN was born in 1679 in Albany County, New York Colony, British Colonial America.3 About 1700 he was an owner of a brewery in Albany, Albany County, New York Colony, British Colonial America.7 His brewery was located on the north side of Union Street, near to or upon the present crossing of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad. He lived on the north corner of Centre and State Streets. He died in 1746 at the age of 67.3,7 He was taken prisoner by the Mohawks and French at the Schenectady Massacre in 1690.
