66. Russel WATROUS Sr.^8,9 was born in 1788 in Saybrook Point, Middlesex County, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America.^18,24 He may have been born in 1788.

(GLG note: This is believed to be the father of Colonel Russell Watrous, the husband of Lovisa Beebe. Ancestors obtained from the Watrous family database on the LDS Genealogy web site. Need more research to confirm.) Before 1826 he was a carpenter, joiner and cabinet maker. He died on 26 November 1826 at the age of 38 in Chester, Middlesex County, CT. Russel signed a will on 4 December 1826 in Saybrook, Middlesex County, CT.²⁵ Constance Webb and Samuel Webb were the sureties of his will. He has Ancestral File Number 176Q-6QQ.

Russel WATROUS Sr. and Lydia WEBB were married on 28 May 1808 in Saybrook Point, Middlesex County, CT.^22,24 Lydia WEBB, daughter of Constant WEBB and Molly DENISON, was born on 20 December 1787.¹⁸ She died on 12 April 1848 at the age of 60 in Chester, Middlesex County, CT.¹⁸

Russel WATROUS Sr. and Lydia WEBB had the following children:

129	i.	Captain Selden WATROUS was born in 1808.¹⁸ He died on 27 May 1885 at the age of 77.¹⁸ He was buried in Deep River, Middlesex County, CT.¹⁸ in the First Congregational Church Cemetery.
