Harold Clarence "Bud" GRIGGS (~) was born on 4 April 1921 in Wyeville, Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.60,205 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Adams, Adams Township, Adams County, WI.219 He appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.180 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Delivery Boy and Clerk, Bakery." Bud appeared in the census in 1950 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.338 His household was at 1241 Clinton Bldg. 37, Apt. H and his occupation was "Wall Cleaning, Wall Cleaning Co." Before 1953 he was in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI. He drove a "car carrier," hauling automobiles. Before 1972 he was a truck driver for the State Highway Patrol..60 Bud died on 6 October 1972 at the age of 51 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.60,339,340 Obituary Notes: "Harold Griggs was born April 4, 1921 (at 1:30 A.M.) to Clarence and Grace Griggs in the village of Wyeville. He died Oct. 6 (1972) of multiple injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Sept. 3.

He was married to Rebecca Beamer and was employed by the State Highway Patrol. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving are his widow; four sons, David, Harold, Gregory and Robert, all at home; two daughters, Mrs. William Johnson (Ruth Ann), Tomah, and Rebecca, at home; his mother, Mrs Clare Griggs, Tomah; four sisters, Mrs. Emil Prise (Elva) and Mrs. Oliver Drew (Beverly), both of Tomah, Mrs. Marvin Neubauer (Ruth) of Madison, and Mrs. Arlen Roeske (Carol) of Sparta; two brothers, Lyle of Tomah and Claire of Greendale; and one grandchild." He was buried on 9 October 1972 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.60,341 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Original Plot, Block 6, Lot 71).

Harold Clarence "Bud" GRIGGS (~) and Amy Jean RATTUNDE were married on 7 June 1941.212 They212 were divorced before 1955.212 Amy Jean RATTUNDE, daughter of Henry C. RATTUNDE and Amy S. RILEY, was born about 1923 in Wisconsin.180 She appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.180 She appeared in the census in 1950 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.338 Her occupation was "Clerk Typist, Army Camp." Amy died about 1995 at the age of 72 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.212

Harold Clarence "Bud" GRIGGS (~) and Gertrude Rebecca "Becky" BEAMER were married on 11 April 1955 in Iowa.60 Gertrude Rebecca "Becky" BEAMER, daughter of Charles Leroy BEAMER and Genevieve Ida WEYER, was born on 10 September 1940 in Tyrone, Blaire County, PA.342 She died on 26 March 2022 at the age of 81 in Warrens, Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.342,343 She died from complications with COPD.

Gregory Scott "Greg" GRIGGS was born on 24 February 1965 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.60 He died on 20 June 1987 at the age of 22 in Hillsboro, Vernon County, WI.60

Obituary Notes: "Gregory Griggs was born February 24, 1965 to Harold and Becky (Beamer) Griggs in Tomah, WI.

He was employed by the Pine Valley Feed Co. in Norwalk.

Gregory was killed in a one-car accident on Hwy V, one mile north of Mt. Tabor. He was a passenger in a car driven by James Cornell, 24, Wilton. The car went off the road and overturned. Cornell and two other passengers were treated at the hospital and released. Gregory died Saturday, June 20, 1987 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Hillsboro.

Gregory was survived by his mother, Becky; three brothers, David of Tomah, Jim of La Fuente, CA, and Robert of Norwalk; and a sister, Sue Dinger of Tunnel City.

He was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Services were held at the White Funeral Home, with Rev. Weslely Schirmer officiating." He was buried on 23 June 1987 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.60 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Original Plot, Block 6, Lot 71).
