His wife and one daughter, Deanice, preceded him in death.

Mr. Borchardt was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.

The Rev. Curtis Jahn officiated at funeral services Saturday at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Interment was in Immanual Cemetery, Cedarburg." He was buried on 16 September 1989 in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, WI.^224,288 in the Immanuel Cemetery.
