He appeared in the census in 1850 in Bristol Township, Kenosha County, WI.3 (Living next door was the household of Hiram Weaver, age 45, born in NY; his wife, Helen, 42, born NY; and their 4 children. Hiram was probably a brother of Horace.) Horace appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.1,5 He was living in the household of his father and step-mother and his occupation was "Farmer." On January 21st, 1865--about two years before his death--he and his second wife, Rumina, sold a 160-acre farm in the southeast corner of Section 21 of LaGrange Township to Lucius S. Griggs. The sale price was $1,600--$10 per acre. (Gary Griggs has a copy of the Indenture.) Kate Chambers, a sister of Horace's first wife, Mary, married Lucius Griggs in 1882. . He died on 28 March 1867 at the age of 57.6 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.7 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Horace WEAVER and Rumina ATKINS were married in 1856 in Walworth County, WI.2,8 He had moved to Monroe County in 1855. Rumina ATKINS was born on 2 April 1813 in New York.1,6,8,9,10 (Her name is listed as "Lavina" in the 1860 Census.) She appeared in the census in 1850 in Lafayette Township, Walworth County, WI.9 She appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.1 Rumina appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.11 She was the Head of Household and her occupation was "Keeping House." Living with her were her sons Lucien and Loren. She died on 6 April 1878 at the age of 65 in Monroe County, WI.7,10 She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.7,10 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
