6. Mary Lily WILLIAMS was born on 25 March 1861 in Byron, Ogle County, IL.^1,13 (According to the 1880 Census, her father was born in England and her mother in Ohio.) She appeared in the census in 1870 in Elkhorn, Walworth County, WI.¹² She appeared in the census in 1880 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Mary died in 1883 at the age of 22 in Wisconsin.^13,14

Mary Lily WILLIAMS and Emery URICH were married on 28 March 1878 in Monroe County, WI.^4,26 Emery URICH, son of John URICH and Harriet UNKNOWN (URICH), was born in May 1854 in Ohio.^4,20,34,35 The 1880 and 1920 Census' listed his birthplace as Ohio, but the 1940 listed it as "Wisconsin?." According to the 1880 and 1920 Census' his father was born in Pennsylvania and his mother in Canada.

Emery appeared in the census in 1910 in Agency Township, Roberts County, SD.³⁶ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farming."

. He appeared in the census in 1915 in Agency Township, Roberts County, SD.³⁷ The census states that they arrived in South Dakota in 1893 and their religion was Seventh Day Adventist. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Leon Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ His occupation was "Farming, General."

Emery appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁴ He was a "Widower" and was living in the household of Elijah and Lola Williams, the parents of Virginia (Williams) Griggs. He was described as an "Uncle" although his relationship to Lola was through his wife, Mary Lily.

According to the census, the highest grade that he completed in school was grade 6.
