72. Jane P. WILLIAMS was born on 26 October 1824 in Erie County, PA.6,7,52 (The 1860 Census listed her birthplace as Ohio.) She appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.52 She appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.11 Jane died on 8 November 1879 at the age of 55 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.1,7

Obituary Notes: "DIED BON-DEPARTED THIS LIFE, NOVEMBER 8th, 1879, MRS. JANE P. BON. Sister Bon was the daughter of the late Edmund and Lucinda Williams. She was born Oct.26, 1812 (sic), in Erie Co., Pa., came with her brother to Wis. in June, 1849, and engaged in teaching school in Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties until Jan 14, 1852, when she married to John Bon. She embraced the religion of Christ in early life.

She was the mother of five children, four of whom survive her. She has resided in Monroe County since 1857 where she made many endearing acquaintances. To know her was to respect and love her, for her pure example. She has been a consistent member of the M.E. Church for many years. She died in great peace.

Her funeral was attended by a large concourse of sympathetic friends. Rev. Mr. Jencks preached a very impressive discourse from Job vii, 16. Her remains were followed by brothers of the "Mystic Tie" and deposited in the grave."

WILLIAMS and John BON were married on 14 January 1852 in Wisconsin.6,7 John BON, son of John Whitman BON and Harriet Matilda RAYMOND, was born about 1825 in Ohio.22 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.52 He was listed as "Jno. Bond" and his occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.11 His occupation was "Farmer." (His surname is listed as "Ben" in the Ancestry.com census index.) John died on 29 May 1878 at the age of 53 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1

Living with him were his sister, Caroline; his brother, Martin; an uncle, David; and David's daughter Celestine.
