56. Edmund W. "Ed" WILLIAMS was born on 24 September 1791 in New York.3,5,6 (The 1880 Census for his son Jeremiah listed his birth place as New York.)

Census: 1840, North Shenango Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. Edmund was living alone.

Ed's family emigrated west to Erie, Pennsylvania, where Mark grew to young manhood. He was a "school mastre" of that day. Ed was also a vereran of the War of 1812, having been engaged in some of the battles fought in Canada. Ed is buried next to his father. He was to receive five dollars from his father's estate.

Edmund served in the War of 1812. He served under Captain ------------Comstock at Williamstown, Oswego County, New York. He enlisted September 2, 1814 and received an honorable discharge at Lacket's Harbor, New York. Company Captain was R.M. Russell. Regiment, New York Militia.

He died on 11 February 1843 at the age of 51 in Crawford County, PA.3,6 He was buried in Crawford County, PA.3 in the Espyville Cemetery.

Edmund W. "Ed" WILLIAMS and Lucinda CARR were married on 12 December 1813 in Williamstown, Oswego County, NY.1,6,7,8 Lucinda CARR was born on 21 November 1796 in New York.1,3,5,6 (The 1880 Census for her son Jeremiah listed her birth place as New York.)

Lucinda filed for widow's military pension. Claim # 6569. She lived at Lincoln (Monroe) Wisconsin at the time of the filing on 4-15-1871. She recieved $8.00 per month, commencing 2-14-1871. In the military records, she claimed that on November 23, 1823 the family records were destroyed by fire. She and Edmund sat down and recorded from their memory the family records.

She maybe buried in or near Tomah, Wisconsin, but cannot be found.

She appeared in the census in 1850 in Newton Township, Manitowoc County, WI.9 She and her daughter Caroline were living with her daughter Celesta and her husband. She appeared in the census in 1860 in Two Rivers, Manitowoc County, WI.10 She was living with her daughter Harriet and her family. Lucinda appeared in the census in 1870 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.11 She was living with her daughter Ann and her family. She died on 11 June 1874 at the age of 77 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1,3,6
