Descendants of Friedrich Wirth

Friedrich Wirth and his wife Charlotte Radke were born in Prussia in about 1800, probably in the Pomerania Province of Prussia.

One of their three sons, Wilhelm Friedrich Wirth, and his wife, Dorothea Louisa Pergande, were born there in the 1820’s and emigrated to America in 1857 with their three oldest children. They eventually settled in Wisconsin.

Wilhelm died shortly after arriving in Wisconsin, and Dorothea married Wenzel Fuchs. They moved to Tomah in the 1890’s.

Dorothea’s children from both marriages married into families such as DeDecker, Kleinmann and Keller.

All of the Wirth family members in Monroe County descend from Friedrich and Charlotte.
