197. Evelyn Grace WOOD¹⁸ was born on 9 March 1926 in Monroe County, WI.⁴⁷ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶⁴ She died on 30 November 2017 at the age of 91 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹²⁸

Obituary Notes: "Evelyn Grace (Wood) Linenberg, 91, of Tomah passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Serenity House in Tomah.

She was born March 9, 1926, in Wyeville, to Charles and Harriet (Woods) Wood. Evelyn married Duane Linenberg June 8, 1946; he preceded her in death in 1992.

She worked various places throughout her life. She waitressed for many years at the Badger Café, as well as working at Schultz Brothers and Ocean Spray. Evelyn loved dancing and genealogy. She was proud of her shot glass collection. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and volunteering with Operation Home Front. Evelyn was a spitfire who will be remembered for her sarcasm. Her favorite saying was “whatever.” She loved her friends and family and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her four children, Edward (Pat) Linenberg, David (Mary) Linenberg, Richard (Alice Chase) Linenberg and Cindy (Paul) Marten; eight grandchildren; along with numerous great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren."
