Josephine Lavica WOOD was born on 16 May 1851 in Wales Center, Erie County, NY.³ She appeared in the census in 1860 in Wales Township, Erie County, NY.⁵ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Richford Township, Waushara County, WI.⁶ Josephine died on 27 April 1924 at the age of 72 in Victor, Corvallis Township, Ravalli County, MT.³ She was buried in Wyeville, Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.³ in the Wood Memorial Cemetery.

Josephine Lavica WOOD and Samuel R. GARBER were married on 12 January 1874 in Monroe County, WI.^3,23,29,35 They had nine children. Samuel R. GARBER was born on 2 March 1843 in Ohio.³ He died on 20 June 1899 at the age of 56 in Tomahawk, Lincoln County, WI.^3,35 He was buried in Wyeville, Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,35 in the Wood Cemetery.
