Hart, 62, a Sauk City resident since November 1922, died suddenly Friday at his home. He was born in Hartford and worked as a mechanic for the Soo Railroad for 32 years, living in Rhinelander, Ridgeland, Gladstone, Michigan and Kenmare, South Dakota. He opened the Sauk City agency of Gamble stores in 1933 and had managed it ever since. He was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Modern Woodmen Lodge and the Sauk City Business Men’s Club. Survivors are his wife, the former Ruby Felton, a daughter, Mrs. Charles F. Ninnan of Sauk City, two grandchildren; a brother of Tomah – Charles; and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Chamberlain of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Services were held at the church. Burial was in the Sauk City Cemetery." |
