Descendants of Lambert Woodard

Lambert Woodard and his wife, Isbell Smith, were born in England in the 1560's and are the earliest-known ancestors of the many Woodard family members who lived in Monroe County.

One of his 5th great-grandsons, Rutsey Rudrick Woodard, married Mary Annis and several of their children eventually moved to Monroe County, along with some of the children of Rutsey’s brother, Amos.

These Woodard descendants married into families such as Sischo, Woodard, and Gould.

Nearly all of the Woodard family members in Monroe County descend from Lambert and Isbell.
