Descendants of Samuel Worden

Samuel Worden and his wife, Abigail Mott, were born in New England in about 1700--he in the Massachusetts Colony and she in the Rhode Island Colony.

One of their great-grandsons, Justus Worden, and his wife, Lois Greman, were born in New York Stae in about 1800. Their son Henry married Harriet Burroughs in 1846 and they moved to Monroe County in 1855 with their five oldest children. Seven more children were born in Wilton Township.

The twelve Henry Worden children married into families such as Hancock, Bowman, Lombard, Harp, Hickox, Aney, Gilson, Liefkt and Hart.

All of the Worden family members in Monroe County descended from Samuel and Abigail.
