Christian "Chris" WURSTER was born on 13 October 1850 in Kreis Saale-Holzland, Thuringia Region, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).1,2,3,4 He emigrated in 1868 from Preussen (Prussia).1,5 After about 1870 he was in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.1 He was a shoemaker. Chris appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 His household consisted of Christian, his wife and their children "Karlene," Alwena, Arthur and Herman. He occupation was listed as "Shoemaker." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.6 The census page is torn and the information is not readable, but he and his wife had six children living with them. His occupation was listed as "Harnessmaker." He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.5 Chris died on 5 November 1915 at the age of 65 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.1,4 He was buried in 1915 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.4 in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church cemetery.

Christian "Chris" WURSTER and Auguste Amalie ZIERKE were married on 26 November 1872 in Monroe County, WI.2,7,8 at the home of Wilhelm Baartz.

(The Marriage Registration record spells her and her parent's names as both "Lirka" and "Zirke.")

According to the 1910 Census, they had 12 children, of whom 7 were living at the time. Her church marriage record listed her as "Augusta Zirke," and the Marriage Registration Index listed her as "Augusta Lirka." The baptism record for her son Arthur lists her surname as "Zierka," and for her daughter Clara it is "Zierke." It is believed to have been "Zierke." She emigrated in 1868 from Preussen (Prussia).1,10 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.3 Auguste appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.6 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.5 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.10 She was a widow and her son "Arno," age 21, was living with her. Auguste appeared in the census on 2 April 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.11 She was living alone. She died on 12 April 1930 at the age of 73 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.1,4 She was buried in 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.4 in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church cemetery.
