Obituary Notes: "Russell (Russ) Allen Gilson died suddenly Oct. 11, 2007, in Kewaunee. He was born in Tomah on July 8, 1940. Services were held in Kewaunee on Saturday, Oct. 13. The wake was held at the Buchanan Funeral Home from 12-2:15 p.m. Family and friends then proceeded to the Holy Rosary Church, where a service was held at 3 p.m.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Vivian, and brothers Vernon, Ronald and Forrest Gilson.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children Todd (Sheree), Shayna, Tracy (Bob), Amber (Ross) and Ryan; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Bea Fish and Lois (Max) Harvey, and brothers Richard (Kathy), Charles (Sheri), Bruce (Wendy), Steve (Vicki), Keith (Stephanie) and Kenny (Tracy) Gilson; sisters-in-law Diane, Donita and Marsha Gilson.

Russ was the life of the party for every family get-together. He brought music and fun to share with all his family and friends. Russ would like the memory of him to be one of happiness, laughter and an afterglow of smiles."
