7. John Michael ZIEGLER Sr. was born on 28 June 1847 in Columbus, Columbia County, WI.^2,4 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ He died on 6 October 1912 at the age of 65 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.^1,2 John was buried in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.²

John Michael ZIEGLER Sr. and Lilly Belle FAIRBANKS were married on 25 November 1875 in Monroe County, WI.^1,5,6 Lilly Belle FAIRBANKS, daughter of Abram F. FAIRBANKS and Mary Samanthe PEDLAR, was born on 14 April 1857 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.² She died in 1933 at the age of 76.²
