Descendants of August Zirk

August Zirk was born in the Brandenburg Province of Prussia in about 1800. Their son, Johann August "John” Zirk married Wilhelmine Albertina Wolfheil, and they and their five children emigrated to America in 1885. They settled in Glendale Township and their children married into families such as Liest, Zander and Malosh.

All of the Zirk families in Monroe County descended from August and his unknown wife.
