MOORE and Rosa Belle UNKNOWN (MOORE), was born on 14 August 1923 in Pocahontas County, WV.^211,563 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Edray, Pocohontas County, WV.⁵⁶⁶ She appeared in the census in 1940 in Grafton, Taylor County, WV.⁵⁶⁷ She was living in the household of Lucy Moats, age 60, and Lucy's sister, Naomia Moore age 63, and brother, Beecher Moats, age 49. Naomia, whose occupation was listed as "Matron," may have been Eleanor's paternal grandmother. The household was located at 539 Maple Avenue.

Also living in the household were Durbin Moore, age 39, occupation "Fireman, Railroad," listed as Lucy's nephew, and Durbin Moore, Jr., age 14, also listed as her nephew.

All of the residents were born in West Virginia.

Eleanor was also listed as a resident of the household of her parents in Marlinton, WV.
