Pearl Evelyn VANDERVORT was born on 2 August 1889 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.^{49,136,273,300} (Her obituary listed her birth date as 2 Aug 1889; other sources list it as 27 Aug 1889.) She lived at the home of her parents in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI in June 1900.^138,139 She was not living with her mother and brothers during the 1910 Census. She may have been in Montana with her father. She appeared in the census in 1905 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵⁴ Pearl died on 30 November 1974 at the age of 85 in Miles City, Custer County, MT.^49,136

Obituary Notes: "Mrs. Pearl E. Wilson, 85 years old of Miles City, formerly of Ismay, passed away at the Custer County Rest Home
in Miles City, Saturday, Nov. 30th. She was born August 2, 1889, at Tomah, Wis., to Alfred E. and Carolyn M. Vandervort.

She attended country school followed by high school and business college at Tomah, Wisc. In 1910 she moved with her family to Montana where they homesteaded in the Pennel Creek area.

She was united in marriage to Cliff C. Wilson Jan. 20, 1914, at Miles City. They ranched near Ismay until 1920 when they moved to Ismay. Her husband preceded her in death in 1944. Following his death, she served in the capacity of Town Clerk and Treasurer for the town of Ismay from 1946 to 1956. She also was Deputy registrar and
Deputy assessor for M. J. Flynn and Ernest Sorenson for the Town of Ismay. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and the Royal Neighbors of America Lodge for fifty years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bennie (Floraine) Geving of Plevna, a grandson Roger Geving of Plevna, a nephew, Everett Vandervort of New .Auburn, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Genevieve and one grandson and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Stevenson's Funeral Chapel in Miles City. Rev. Earl Barnard officiated. Burial was in the Ismay cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Rugg, Kenton Stickney, Ed May, Dan Thielen, John Willman, and Berdett Askin. Irene Huber accompanied Janette Buerkle as the soloist. Stevenson's of Miles City was in charge of the arrangements." She was buried in Montana.²⁷⁰
