20. Herman Albert VON HADEN71 was born in May 1893 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.9,71,72 (The 1900 Census lists his birth date as May 1894, but his gravestone lists his birth year as 1893.)

He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.29 He was a "Hired Man" in the household of Mike and Anna Linehan and his occupation was "Laborer, Farm." Herman appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.68 His household was at 1809 Kilbourn Avenue and his occupation was "Steam Boiler Engineer, Cooperative Creamery."

Living with him were his daughter Laurella and her family.

. He registered for the Military Draft in 1942 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. 71 At the time of the draft, he lived at 1809 Kilbourn Avenue, and his employer was J. P. Cullen & Son, Janesville, WI.

. He died in 1955 at the age of 62.73 He was buried in 1955 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.74,75 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section 2A, Block 2, Lot 19). (His middle name is listed as "Emil" in several sources, but it was written by him as "Albert" on his 1942 Draft Card.)

Herman Albert VON HADEN and Frances Marieta SEIBOLD were married in 1920.69 They69 were divorced in 1928.69,76,77 From the research of Janelle Dvorak: "I got the divorce file on Herman and Frances (Gould) Von Haden, and it is much as I thought.  Custody of the four children was split because Herman did not believe that the younger two, Curtis and Joseph, were his children.  She accused him of physical and emotional abuse, and he accused her of lascivious behavior."

(Herman cannot be located in the 1930 Census, but his daughter--listed as "Marieta"--was living in the household of her grand-uncle John Von Haden in Tomah.)

Frances Marieta SEIBOLD, daughter of Ira Jay SEIBOLD and Ella May GOULD, was born on 1 June 1901 in Monroe County, WI.16 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.14 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.29 She was living with her parents and her occupation was "Teacher, Rural School." Frances appeared in the census in 1930 in Castalia, Charles Mix County, SD.78 She and her two sons were living with her second husband.

. She died in December 1983 at the age of 82 in Sioux City, Woodbury County, IA.79
