1078. John GORE (*) was born in 1598 in Southampton, Hampshire, England. He emigrated in 1635 from Southampton, Hampshire, England. Emigrated to Roxbury in the MA Bay Colony. He was admitted a freeman on April 18, 1637 and for may years was the Clerk of the Writs. His homestead consisted of four acres west of the Stony River. He is said to have had a family of ten children, two of whom were born in England and the remainder in Roxbury. He died on 4 June 1657 at the age of 59 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. Rhoda GARDNER (*) and John GORE (*) were married about 1630 in England, United Kingdom. His home was located west of Fremont Place and was named "Paradise Hill" by his wife, Rhoda, who as she was carried from the ship due to wetness of the ground, said "This is Paradise".

1079. Rhoda GARDNER (*) was born about 1610. She died on 22 August 1693 at the age of 83 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.

	i.	Mary GORE was born in 1632 in England, United Kingdom.
	ii.	John GORE Jr. was born on 23 May 1634 in England, United Kingdom. He died on 26 June 1705 at the age of 71 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.
	iii.	Obadiah GORE (1st) was born on 27 June 1636 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. He died on 12 May 1646 at the age of 9 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.
	iv.	Abigail GORE (1st) was born on 5 August 1641 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. She died on 13 August 1642 at the age of 1 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.
	v.	Abigail GORE (2nd) was born on 5 May 1643 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. She died on 21 October 1671 at the age of 28 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.

	vii.	Obadiah GORE (2nd) was born on 25 March 1648 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. He died before 3 September 1653 at the age of 5 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.
	viii.	Samuel GORE was born in 1652 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA. He died on 4 July 1692 at the age of 40 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, MA.
