(Her name was listed as "Carline Jashkewits" in the Marriage Registration Record of her daughter, "Juliann Wilhelmine," but her given name is believed to have been "Caroline.") (This is a map of Kreis Kolmar in southern Province Posen, Prussia, where Aschenforth and Jankendorf were located. It is near where the present city of Poznan, Poland is located.) She was christened on 23 October 1816 in Jankendorf, Kreis Kolmar, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia). She died on 18 January 1844 at the age of 27 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia). 	viii.	Johann Ludwig "Louis" FRIESKE was born on 12 January 1828 in Aschenforth, Kreis Kolmar, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia). He was baptized on 20 January 1828 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia). He emigrated in 1854 from Preussen (Prussia). The 1900 Census indicated that he emigrated in 1854 and had been in America for 45 years. (He cannot be located in the 1860 Census.) Louis appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI. He was a widower, living alone, and his occupation appears to be "Agent (?), Nursery Stock." He appeared in the census in 1905 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI. He was listed as "Louie" and was a "Boarder" in the household of Fred and Minnie Gnewikow. He was listed as Married, but it believed that his wife had died before then. Louis died on 14 August 1905 at the age of 77 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. At the time of his death, he was 77 years, 7 months and 2 days old. He was buried on 16 August 1905 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. He has Ancestral File Number GCDX-JLN. (He spelled his surname as "Friske" when he served as a witness for the Will of Gottfried Jaskewicz in 1881.) .
