(He cannot be located in the 1860 Census.) Louis appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.129 His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.38 He was a widower, living alone, and his occupation appears to be "Agent, Nursery Stock." He appeared in the census in 1905 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.67 He was listed as "Louie" and was a "Boarder" in the household of Fred and Minnie Gnewikow. He was listed as Married, but it believed that his wife had died before then. Louis died on 14 August 1905 at the age of 77 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.286,751 At the time of his death, he was 77 years, 7 months and 2 days old. He was buried on 16 August 1905 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.751 He has Ancestral File Number GCDX-JLN.450 (He spelled his surname as "Friske" when he served as a witness for the Will of Gottfried Jaskewicz in 1881.)
