26. August Friedrich WILDE (*) was born on 29 October 1830 in Uchtenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). (According to the Alt Damerow, Germany, record of his marriage, he was 24 years, 0 months and 23 days old when he married. That would put his birth date at 21 Oct 1830. However, the St. John's Cemetery list and the Monroe County Heritage Book article list it as 29 Oct 1830.) He was christened on 21 November 1830 in Uchtenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). He emigrated on 30 July 1862 from Preussen (Prussia). He, his wife and their three oldest children departed from Hamburg on the ship "Goethe" and arrived in New York City. His occupation was listed as "Farmer." August was Lutheran on 9 April 1865 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. when he became a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was listed as member number 32 of the first 100 members of the congregation.

He and his family were listed in the church Communion Records in the early-1890's, and he was listed on the Membership Roster in 1900. Between 1865 and 1913 he was a farmer in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. His occupation was "Farmer." Obituary Notes: "On Friday afternoon, March 7, 1913, Mr. August Wilde passed to his final reward shortly before 3 o'clock after an illness of about five weeks, his ailment being complicated by his advanced age.

Mr. Wilde was born in Ochten Hagen (sic, Uchtenhagen), Germany, Oct 29, 1830, coming to America in the year 1862. He remained in Milwaukee about 3 years; from there he moved to Ridgeville, residing on a farm up to the time of his death. Four children were born to them, namely Frank, Mrs. Herman Gerke, Mrs. A. Vincenz, and Mrs. F. Pergande, all of Ridgeville.

The funeral took place at 1 o'clock from the German Lutheran Church. He leaves to mourn, his aged wife and children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren." He died on 7 March 1913 at the age of 82. August was buried on 11 March 1913 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Dorothea Sophia Maria "Dora" PERGANDE (*) and August Friedrich WILDE (*) were married on 13 November 1854 in Uchtenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). in the Evangelische Kirche. According to the record of their marriage, his age was 24 years, 23 days, and hers was 27 years, 6 months, 6 days.

He adopted Minnie, the illegitimate daughter of Dora, and she used the surname Wilde.

27. Dorothea Sophia Maria "Dora" PERGANDE (*) was born on 6 May 1827 in Alt Damerow, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). (According to the Alt Damerow, Prussia, record of her marriage, she was 27 years, 6 months and 6 days old when she married on 13 November 1854; that would put her birthdate at 7 May 1827. The St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridgeville, Cemetery records and the Monroe County Heritage Book article list it as 6 May 1827. The Pergande Family Group Sheet lists it as 5 Jun 1827. Bernice (Pergande) Griggs had a notebook indicating that it was 16 May 1827. The cemetery record is used here.)

(She was listed as "Dorothea" in the immigration ship manifest record and as "Dora" in the 1880 Census.)

She emigrated on 30 July 1862 from Preussen (Prussia). Monroe County Heritage Book article: Helena's "parents and one brother and two sisters came to the United States in 1862. They came to Brookfield and then settled in the Township of Ridgeville."

Luise Friederike Ernestina "Tina" WILDE was born on 22 December 1861 in Uchtenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). The 1880 Census lists her name as "Lina" and the 1900 as "Teena." The Birth Registration record of her son Earl lists her name as "Lina E. Wield." She was baptized on 5 January 1862 in Uchtenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia). She emigrated on 30 July 1862 from Preussen (Prussia). Tina appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. She was confirmed on 21 March 1875 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

(She was not listed with her parents during the 1880 Census, and it is not known where she lived. It is possible that the census enumerator combined Tina and her sister Lena into one record.) She was Lutheran in 1889 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. She was listed in the Communion Records of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the early-1890's. Helene "Lena" WILDE was born on 8 March 1864 in Brookfield, Waukesha County, WI. Helena "was the youngest child and the only one born in the United States. The rest were born in Germany." She appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. (She was not living with her parents during the 1880 Census, and it is not known where she resided.) She was confirmed on 25 March 1877 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lena appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. She was living with her parents and her occupation was "Works on Farm." (She was listed as "Lina," age 18. So, it is possible that the census enumerator combined Lena and Tina into one record.) She appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI. She appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.
