Mary Ann BLASKEY and Martin O. BETTHAUSER Sr. were married on 10 October 1893 in Monroe County, WI.^10,30 Martin O. BETTHAUSER Sr., son of John BETTHAUSER and Margaret SCHNEIDER, was born on 11 November 1864 in Oakdale Township, Monroe County, WI.^10,15,30 In 1891 he was an employee of John Winship's lumber, feed and fuel business in Tunnel City, Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ He became a partner with Mr. Winship and Charles Taft in 1908. In 1920, Martin and his son James purchased the business and changed its name to Betthauser & Sons. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ His occupation was "Superintendent, Warehouse." Martin appeared in the census in 1930 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ His occupation was "Dealer, Lumber." He died on 24 April 1954 at the age of 89 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,10 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
