On that land was built a building that would eventually housed Mr. Lea's Indian trading post, Dr. Clayton Hyslop's hospital, the Ninneman Funeral home, and the Tomah Area Chamber of Commerce in what was known as the Tomah City Annex. The building was destroyed in August 2007 to make way for the Tomah Police Department Safety Building.)
