He was in Tomah for the weekend when he had a heart attack. He entered the Tomah Hospital, but they med-flew him to a hospital in La Crosse, where he passed away. . He was buried in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.9 in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Indian Creek. She died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Serenity House, Tomah. Raised on a farm, attended Indian Creek School Dist. #3 for 8 yrs. and then graduated with the 1960 Tomah High School Class. She moved to Madison where she worked and lived from 1962 to 1988, moving on to Tucson, AZ for 20-1/2 yrs. living and working there. She moved back to Tomah, WI in 2009, where she enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities. She was president of the WI-Singles camping group and a member of the LoW’s camping group. She was involved with genealogy again writing more family history genealogy and was president of the MJJ Genealogy Society. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Indian Creek from baptism and confirmation to death. She was a member of the ladies’ aid and church choir, assisting in any other way she could until her health declined. She is survived by 4 sisters, Betty Langer, Mauston; Delores Hubmann, Racine; Ruth Bennett, Nekoosa; and Carol Larkin, Chicago and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and 4 brothers-in-law. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, 11:00 A.M. St. Peter’s Ev. Luth. Church, 30032 County Road A, Camp Douglas (Indian Creek/Clifton). Reverend Robert Gerke will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service." . |
