22. August "Gust" FABIAN was born on 11 June 1881 in Burr Oak, Farmington Township, La Crosse County, WI.^4,7,12 (According to the 1930 Census, both of his parents were born in Germany.) He appeared in the census in 1900 in Melrose Township, Jackson County, WI.⁵ He was living with his mother. After 1900 he was a farmer in Ettrick, Trempealeau County, WI.⁷ He later farmed in Jackson County, WI. Gust appeared in the census in 1930 in Irving Township, Jackson County, WI.¹² His occupation was listed as "Laborer, General Farm." He died on 15 January 1956 at the age of 74 in Farmington Township, La Crosse County, WI.^4,7

August "Gust" FABIAN and Kathryn HANSEN were married on 3 November 1912 in Melrose Township, Jackson County, WI.^4,7,11,12,14

(It is not known where they lived during the 1920 Census. They may have been in Irving Township, but the Ancestry.com census page that contains his brother is missing. They may have lived near each other.) Kathryn HANSEN was born on 14 October 1889 in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI.^4,7,12 (According to the 1930 Census, her father was born in Denmark and her mother in Wisconsin.) She appeared in the census in 1930 in Irving Township, Jackson County, WI.¹² She died on 24 January 1977 at the age of 87 in Farmington Township, La Crosse County, WI.^4,7
