She emigrated in 1870 from Preussen (Prussia).¹⁰ Minnie appeared in the census in 1880 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.² (She and her family lived next to the household of Gottlieb Friske ("Frisco") and his family, but it is not known if they were related.) She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁰ She died in 1904 at the age of 59.¹² Minnie was buried in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Cemetery.

Johanne Wilhelmine "Minnie" FRIESKE and Friedrich Daniel "Dan" GOLDBECK were married on 11 February 1866 in Schokken, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^6,10 (According to the 1900 Census, they had been married for 35 years and had 9 children, of whom all were living at the time.)
