(The cemetery records list "Father" Gehrke, 1859-1919, and "Mother" Gehrke, 1860-1927, in the same cemetery lot as Julius and his wife; because of their birth years, they were possibly Julius' brother and his wife.)

. He emigrated in 1893 from Sussex (??), German Federation.4,8,9,10 (The 1920 Census lists his emigration year as 1873 (possibly 1893); the 1930 lists his and his wife's emigration year as 1883; an article in the Monroe County Heritage Book lists it as 1894. Albertina Wilhelmine "Tina" PERGANDE was born on 10 September 1867 in Westpreussen (West Prussia) Province, Preussen (Prussia).4,8,9,12,13,14 (In the Monroe County Heritage Book, her surname is listed as "Berganda," but it actually was "Pergande." Ruby (Rosenow) Wallerman and Marie (Heeler) Hartley (two of her granddaughters) do not know the names of Albertina's parents or the city in Germany in which she was born, so it is not known if she was related to other Pergande family members that settled in Monroe County.)

(The 1920 Census listed her and her parents' birth place as "Prussia.") She emigrated in 1893 from Germany.4,8,9,10,11 According to the 1920 Census, she emigrated to America in 1873 (possibly 1893); according to the 1930, she and her husband emigrated in 1883; both of those dates are believed to be incorrect because they were reportedly married in Germany in about 1892.
