7. Captain George GETMAN Sr. was born on 1 March 1723 in Stone Arabia, Ephratah Township, Montgomery County, NY.^5,6 He served in the military on 20 March 1757.⁶ He served in Capt. Deychert's Company. He served in the American Revolution in Col. Jacob Klock's Regiment. He was at the Battle of Stone Arabia in 1780. He signed a will in December 1783.⁶ His will was probated on 28 Jan 1790. His wife was alive when he wrote his will. George died in September 1789 at the age of 66.⁶

Captain George GETMAN Sr. and Udelia SHOEMAKER were married in 1750.^2,6,7 Udelia SHOEMAKER, daughter of Johannes SHOEMAKER and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (SHOEMAKER), was born in 1723 in German Flats, Herkimer County, NY.²
