Rhoda GETMAN was born on 16 November 1841 in Van Buren, Onondaga County, NY.^16,45,46 She appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ She died on 28 December 1904 at the age of 63.^45,46 Rhoda was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^28,46 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Rhoda GETMAN and Frederick "Fred" WISE were married on 29 December 1863.⁴⁵ (According to her obituary, they had 9 children, of whom 2 preceded her in death.) Frederick "Fred" WISE was born on 25 January 1834.²⁸ He served in the military about 1861.⁴⁷ He served in Company I, 49th Wisconsin Infantry. He died on 7 January 1916 at the age of 81.²⁸ Frederick was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^28,46,47 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
