202. Lester E. GETMAN was born on 17 February 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. He appeared in the census in June 1880 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁶ He served in the military about 1898 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²²⁴ as a Private in Company K of the 3rd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. His unit served in Puerto Rico, leaving on April 28th, 1898 and returning home on September 18th, 1898. The unit was based in the Winnebago County area of Wisconsin. Lester appeared in the census in 1920 in Champaign Township, Champaign County, IL.²²⁵ His household as located at 606 Springfield. His wife's single sister, Ada, and a servant were living with him, his wife and their two sons. He died on 2 June 1936 at the age of 56 in Urbana, Champaign County, IL.^226,227 According to his Death Certificate, he suffered from "carcinoma of rt lung," but he died of an "embolism" at Mercy Hospital.

GETMAN and Amy CLEMENTS were married about 1910.²²⁵ Amy CLEMENTS was born on 6 April 1884 in Indiana.^225,228 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Champaign Township, Champaign County, IL.²²⁵ She died on 15 January 1985 at the age of 100.²²⁸ Amy was buried in Urbana, Champaign County, IL.²²⁶ in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
