"Will" GETMAN and Fidelia "Deal" VANDERVORT were married about 1865.^83,97 Fidelia "Deal" VANDERVORT, daughter of James Robert VAN DER VOORT and Mary BAKER, was born on 20 May 1845 in Oconomowoc Township, Waukesha County, WI.^{26,39,51,53,85,148,149} (Her given name was spelled "Fedelia" in the obituary of her son Arthur and "Phidelia" in a Biographical Histories article about her father.) She appeared in the census in 1850 in Summit Township, Waukesha County, WI.²¹ She appeared in the census in 1860 in Summit Township, Waukesha County, WI.⁴⁹ She was living with her parents. Deal appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁹ She was living with her husband and son Arthur. Obituary Notes: "Well known Aberdeen Woman Succumbs to Illness. Mrs. Fidelia Johnson, 76 years old, wife of J. L. Johnson, died yesterday morning at her home, 709 East Wishkah Street, after four months' illness. She came to Aberdeen about 20 years ago from Waukesha, Wis., where she was a pioneer.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by five sons: Arthur Getman, of Tomah, Wis.; H. M. Getman, Colorado Springs, Col.; Frank R. Getman, Milwaukee, Wis.; L. E. Getman, Champagne, Ill.; and A. W. Featherly, of Aberdeen; a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Richardson, of Sturgis, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Maria Kinney, of Shelton. By the death of Mrs, Johnson, Mrs. Kinney becomes the only living member of a family of 16 children. She is 86 years old.

Mrs. Johnson's husband, a step-son, G. H. Johnson, A. W. Featherly, and a niece, Mrs. Carrie Diggs were at her side when she died. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Aberdeen and the Women's Relief Corps. Funeral services will be held in the Elerding & Pinnick Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. A. A. Heist of the Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Fern Hill Cemetery." Deal was buried in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, WA.⁵¹ in the Fern Hill Cemetery.
