He died before 1850 at the age of 70.²⁷⁵ He was not listed with his wife in the 1850 Census, so he probably had died.

Hendrick GRIGGS and Sarah Winchester SESSIONS were married on 16 May 1803 in Union, Tolland County, CT.^167,168 Sarah Winchester SESSIONS was born on 5 September 1780 in Union, Tolland County, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America.^162,275 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Union Township, Tolland County, CT.²⁷⁵ She was living in the household of Johanna D. Sessions, age 66, and Mary Sessions, age 64--probably her sisters. She died on 23 February 1868 at the age of 87 in Union, Tolland County, CT.¹⁶² Sarah was buried in Union, Tolland County, CT.¹⁶² in the Rindge Cemetery.
