383. Parley GRIGGS was born on 16 September 1790 in Ashford Township, Windham County, CT.^162,168,223 (His gravestone lists 1788 as his birth year, but Ashford vital records and other sources list it as 1790.)

(According to the LDS Church IGI Index, he was a relative of Joseph Smith, the Prophet.) He died in 1872 at the age of 82.¹⁶² He was buried in Eastford, Windham County, CT.¹⁶² in the Grove Cemetery.

Parley GRIGGS and Molly "Waity" PHILLIPS were married on 10 April 1815 in Ashford, Windham County, CT.^{167,168,188,196,276} (She was listed as "Waity" on her gravestone.) (According to the research of James Welch, they also had another daughter--Mary S., 1822-1878.) Molly "Waity" PHILLIPS was born on 27 December 1787 in Ashford Township, Windham County, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America.¹⁶² She died on 6 September 1869 at the age of 81 in Pomfret Township, Windham County, CT.¹⁶² She was buried in Eastford, Windham County, CT.¹⁶² in the Grove Cemetery.
