11. George Henry JENNINGS was born on 8 March 1814 in Horham, Suffolk County, England.2,18,19 He emigrated on 21 June 1841 from Suffolk County, England.1,18,20,21 He emigrated on the ship "Robert Burne" from London to New York City and his occupation was listed as "Farmer."

The family first settled in Cape Vincent Township, Jefferson County, NY, and three of their children were born there. He became a U.S. Citizen on 17 Oct 1848. In 1867, he and his family were in Monroe County, Wisconsin.

In June 1874, he received the following letter from his brother James, who lived in Cape Vincent, NY: "Have been to see brother John last week, and they are all well and Delos Jennings was married when Amy was there on the 19th of June to Elder Plato's daughter. I could not go. Brother John and Jane are well.

I had a note from Wm. Degraff and the grave where brother Joseph and daughter was buried at Amsterdam in 1839, they are going to move them where Mrs. Degraff is in the new cemetery. We have not had a letter from England since I wrote to them 2 years ago. I have not had a leter from Mrs. Dennet at Ridgeport, Iowa. I wrote to her 1 year ago."

He appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1,22 His occupation was "Farmer." After the death of his first wife in about 1861, he re-married and he and his daughter Alice moved to Monroe County, WI. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.19 His occupation was "Farmer." George died on 12 April 1888 at the age of 74 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.1,11,18 He died at the home of his daughter Caroline. He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.18,23,24 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

George Henry JENNINGS and Harriet CLUTTON were married on 23 June 1840 in Horham, Suffolk County, England.1,11,18,21 in the Baptist Chapel. Their witnesses were Samuel Jennings (his brother) and Maria Wilson. (Their marriage date may have been 13 Jun 1840.) Harriet CLUTTON, daughter of Henry CLUTTON and Phoebe BORRETT, was born in 1818 in Laxfield, Suffolk County, England.1,11,20 (The passenger manifest listed her age as 25 when she emigrated from England in June 1841, so she was probably born in about 1816.) She emigrated on 21 June 1841 from Suffolk County, England.18,20,25 She emigrated to Jefferson County, NY aboard the ship S. Bourne.
