Horham (pronounced 'Hohrum') is a village in the county of Suffolk, in the East Anglia region of eastern England, United Kingdom. The village contains a church, St. Mary of Horham. Horham is on the B1117 road, approximately halfway between Eye and Stradbroke.

The village is old; some say it was a Viking settlement. There are some houses that are known to have been built in the 15th century. The old Dragon Inn - now known as Dragon House - is believed to date back to about 1525. From the 11th century until the late 18th century, it is documented as one of the parishes within Hoxne Hundred. Elizabeth "Lucy" WILSON9, daughter of Edward WILSON and Ann MUTIMER, was born in 1775 in Laxfield, Suffolk County, England.6,8,9,11 She signed a will on 22 May 1837 in Suffolk County, England.1 "She appointed her brothers William and John and her son Samuel as executors of her estate. She bequeaths to her two daughters Hannah and Mary all her clothes, wearing apparel and body linen to be divided between them. She bequeaths to her son John the sum of Ten Pounds to be paid to him when he arrives at the age of 21. The rest of her property is to be equally shared between all of her children." She died on 24 May 1837 at the age of 62 in Horham, Suffolk County, England.1,6 (This is a map of Suffolk County, England. Horham is pronounced like “Horrum.” The area has not changed a great deal. Although the purists would say that there has been a lot of “infill,” many of the roads are the same as they were 100-200 years ago.)
