Thomas Nethercote KIDD Sr. was born on 8 January 1626 in Soham Parish, Cambridgeshire, England.5,7 He was christened in January 1626 in Soham Parish, Cambridgeshire, England.6 He emigrated in 1648 from England, United Kingdom.6 Thomas came to Lancaster Co., VA on the south side of the Rappahanock River in 1648, as one of 22 indentured servants of Richard Lee. According to "The Kidds in Virginia", by Paul H. Kidd of Monroe, LA, he settled on 200 acres on Burnham's Creek, in that part of Lancaster Co. that later became part of Middlesex County when it was created.

Thomas died on 26 May 1680 at the age of 54 in Rappahannock River, Middlesex County, VA.5

Thomas Nethercote KIDD Sr. and Jane WILLIS were married in 1669 in Middlesex County, VA.5,7 Jane WILLIS was born in 1635 in Middlesex County, VA.7 She died in 1700 at the age of 65 in Middlesex County, VA.7
