2. Francis KLIMA was born on 25 July 1824 in Kvetov, Pisek District, South Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Czech Republic).1,2,3 (This is a map of Bohemia as it existed in the mid-1800's.)

Květov is a village and municipality (obec) in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 15.74 square kilometres (6.08 sq mi), and lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-east of Písek, 53 km (33 mi) north of České Budějovice, and 75 km (47 mi) south of Prague. He emigrated about 1866 from Bohemia (Czech Republic).4 (The 1900 Census for his son Frank listed Frank's emigration year as 1867; the same record for his son James listed it as 1865. So it is assumed that the family emigrated together.)

(He cannot be located in the 1870 or 1880 Census.)

. He died on 27 October 1881 at the age of 57 in Baltimore (City), MD.1,2,3,5 (The LDS Family Search website lists his death date as 27 October 1881. But his wife was living with their son Frank in the 1880 Census, so he may have died before then.) Francis has Ancestral File Number L8W4-ZZW.6

Francis KLIMA and Catherine SACHA were married about 1850 in Bohemia (Czech Republic).2,7 (The identities of their children must be confirmed. Some websites on MyHeritage.com list 8 children for them, not including James and Marie.) Catherine SACHA was born in October 1827 in Kvetov, Pisek District, South Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Czech Republic).1 She died on 16 December 1919 at the age of 92 in Baltimore (City), MD.1
