Leonhard George "Leonard" KOENINGER Jr. and Martha "Mattie" KUCKUCK were married on 10 April 1901 in Monroe County, WI.^4,13,15 Their witnesses were Frank Kuckuck (one of her brothers) and Lena Koeninger (one of his sisters). Martha "Mattie" KUCKUCK, daughter of Karl L. KUCKUCK and Wilhelmine A. SCHWANTZ, was born in February 1873 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,15 (The 1900 Census listed her birth date as Feb 1863, her age as 37, and her birth place as Germany. All were in error.) She appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ She was living with her parents. Mattie died in September 1977 at the age of 104 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴
