Descendants of Friedrich Kortbein

Friedrich Kortbein is the earliest known ancestor of the many Kortbein families that settled in Ridgeville Township. He and his wife were born in Pommern (Pomerania), Prussia in the mid-1700’s.

Friedrich's descendants married into families such as Bergmann, Gerke, Giraud, Gnewikow, Goetz, Roscovius and Scheer.
