Ruth E. KRAUSE and Harold Albert FRIESKE were married on 29 October 1939 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.^13,43 Harold Albert FRIESKE, son of Herman Paul FRIESKE and Anna F. ZUHLSDORF, was born on 11 January 1914 in Monroe County, WI.^19,22,43 (There may have been two Harold Friske's--one that married Catherine Bell and the other that married Ruth Krause. The latter was a son of Herman Friske and lived in Sparta.) He appeared in the census in 1920 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁰ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁴ He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Farm Laborer, General Farm." Harold appeared in the census in 1940 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴¹ His occupation was "Truck Driver, Saw Mill."

He appeared in the census in 1950 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁴ His household was at 327 Glendale Avenue and his occupation was "Welder Helper, Railroad Company." He died on 8 May 1991 at the age of 77 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.^12,45 Harold was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴² in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
